A Message from the Executive Director

Thank you for your interest in the Texas Staff Development Council.  Accessing our website means you are a learner, just curious, or are already a member in need of some ideas for your professional learning planning, implementation or evaluation.

As we move to "leveled" membership, you will have the opportunity to join at the level that meets your needs. Our basic membership will feature at least three things of interest to you:

  • Scheduled Learning Opportunities - some of these are limited to the sponsoring district, organization, ESC, etc., and some will be open enrollment.
  • Information on our annual conference - this annual opportunity is sometimes a one day conference with one speaker; a two day conference with keynote speakers and breakout sessions or some combination of those formats.

We support and believe in NSDC's purpose which is "every educator engages in effective professional learning every day so that every student achieves." I believe that we should model what we want all educators to do: be a learner, implement what we learn, and evaluate the impact of what we implement.

Thanks again for visiting our website.  Be a member and help us make sure all students have the best teacher and best administrators possible!
